Rules, Terms of Service & Server Policy
Welcome to OrbitOT.
These rules exist to maintain a stable, fair, and enjoyable environment for all players. By creating an account or playing on this server, you agree to follow these rules and policies.
Failure to comply may result in warnings, temporary suspensions, permanent bans, or other administrative action depending on the severity of the violation.
1. Character Names
Character names must resemble proper fictional character names.
The following are not permitted:
Offensive names
Names containing extreme hate speech, racist terms, extremist references, or clearly abusive language may be removed.
Invalid names
Names that consist of random characters, spam text, or nonsensical combinations of letters may be removed.
Impersonation
Names attempting to impersonate other players, staff members, or official roles are strictly prohibited.
2. Player Conflict & PvP
OrbitOT is an open and competitive environment.
Conflicts between players are considered a normal part of gameplay, and staff will generally not intervene in player disputes.
This includes:

Being hunted by other players

PvP rivalries

Guild wars
-
Repeated killing between players
-
Insults or arguments between players
If you provoke other players or create hostility, you are responsible for the consequences that follow within the game world.
Staff will not resolve personal disputes between players.
Players are expected to handle conflicts themselves through gameplay.
3. Cheating and Exploits
Exploiting bugs or unintended mechanics to gain an unfair advantage is strictly prohibited.
Examples include:

Item duplication

Exploiting map bugs

Bypassing gameplay mechanics

Using unintended server errors for advantage
If you discover a bug, you should report it to staff.
4. Automation and Botting
Automation tools and bots are permitted on OrbitOT.
However bots may not:

Intentionally disrupt other players

Cause excessive server load

Manipulate systems in destructive ways
Administration may modify automation policies if required to maintain server balance.
5. Real World Trading (RWT)
Real World Trading is strictly prohibited and considered illegal on this server.
Real World Trading includes:

Selling characters for real money

Selling items or gold for real money
-
Buying in-game currency outside official donation systems
-
Advertising external marketplaces for in-game assets
-
Acting as a middleman for such trades
Players caught participating in Real World Trading may receive immediate permanent bans without warning.
All involved items and characters may be removed.
6. Server Economy Protection
The server economy must remain stable.
The following actions may result in punishment:

Market manipulation

Artificial price manipulation

Duplication abuse
-
Exploiting systems to generate currency

Coordinated economy abuse
Administration reserves the right to remove items or adjust the economy when necessary.
7. Destructive Behaviour
Any behaviour intended to harm the server, players, or infrastructure is strictly prohibited.
Examples include:

Attempting to crash the server

Coordinated griefing campaigns

Exploiting mechanics to damage gameplay

Spreading malicious misinformation

Attempting to sabotage server systems
8. Accounts and Security
Players are responsible for the security of their accounts.
The administration is not responsible for losses caused by:

Account sharing
-
Weak passwords
-
External scams
-
Player-to-player trades
-
Negligence
All actions performed on your account are considered authorized by you.
9. Community Behaviour
While player conflict is allowed, behaviour that damages the server community may still lead to punishment.
Examples include:

Organized harassment campaigns

Attempting to destabilize the community

Spreading malicious misinformation about the server

Attempting to deceive large groups of players
10. Discord and Community Platforms
The official Discord and community channels are considered extensions of the server.
Behaviour on these platforms may lead to in-game punishments if it involves:

Threats against the server or staff

Promotion of illegal activities
-
Encouraging exploits or server attacks

Organizing Real World Trading
11. Donations and Refund Policy
Donations to OrbitOT are voluntary contributions intended to support server hosting, development, and future improvements.
Any rewards received after donating are considered gratitude gifts, not purchases.
Donations do not guarantee access to the server.
No Refund Policy
All donations are final and non-refundable.
Refunds will not be issued for any reason including:

Gameplay dissatisfaction

Account bans
-
Server resets or rollbacks
-
Loss of items or characters
-
Technical issues or downtime

Balance changes
Donations Do Not Grant Immunity
Donating to the server does not provide immunity from the rules.
Players who donate are treated exactly the same as all other players.
If you break the rules after donating, you may still receive warnings, suspensions, or permanent bans.
Donations are not a guarantee that you will be allowed to continue playing the server.
Ownership of Accounts and Characters
All accounts, characters, items, and in-game assets remain the property of the server owners and administrators.
Players are granted permission to use these assets while playing but do not own them.
The administration reserves the right to:

Reset characters or servers

Suspend or terminate accounts

Change gameplay systems or mechanics
These actions may occur at any time without compensation.
Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Initiating a chargeback after receiving donation rewards may result in:

Permanent account termination

Removal of all characters and items
-
Blacklisting from the server

Reporting the transaction to the payment provider
Chargebacks are considered abuse of the donation system.
12. Server Availability
OrbitOT is provided as-is.
Server uptime is not guaranteed. Downtime, resets, or technical issues may occur.
Players are not entitled to compensation for any losses caused by these events.
13. Content Creators & Streaming
Players who stream or publish content related to the server are expected not to:

Publicly promote exploits

Reveal server vulnerabilities
-
Encourage rule-breaking behaviour
Content that intentionally harms the server may result in administrative action.
14. Rollbacks and Server Corrections
In rare cases the administration may perform:

Server rollbacks

Item removals
-
Character adjustments
These actions may occur if necessary to correct major bugs, exploits, or economy damage.
Players are not entitled to compensation for losses resulting from corrective actions.
15. Administrative Authority
The administration reserves the right to take action against any account or character when necessary to protect the server.
Staff may issue punishments even in situations not explicitly listed within these rules.
Administrative decisions are final.
16. Punishments
Violations may result in:

Punishments are determined based on severity and previous violations.
